POP CORN AND SODA

So I love watching movies, although I tend to fall asleep watching them at home with my Hershies Man. Simply cause I'm so darn tired most of the time. So I really prefer going to the movies instead of waiting for the DVD release, although sometimes you know we have no choice. Anyway the two best movies I've seen recently were Reign Over Me (2007) and The Dark Knight (2008).

LET IN THE UNEXPECTED

MOVIE: Reign Over (Me 2007)
IMDB RATING: 7.8/10
DIRECTOR: Mike Binder
WRITER: Mike Binder
STARING: Adam Sandler
Don Cheadle
Jada Pinkett Smith
Liv Tyler
Sometimes we all get lost and need someone to help us along. That is what this movie is about. I was so inspired by Sandler's performance, as he played a rattled and fragile character who hides away from the world to deal with his profound grief. His scooter, his head phones ans his video games are Charlie's escape. But there comes a time when we all must face our nightmares in order to move on. Alan Johnson (Cheadle), plays a man who is also lost, but lost in what he has, Charley on the other hand is lost in what he has lost. They both help each other to find their way. “Reign Over Me” is an amazing movie, the story is almost perfectly supported by the acting. I was truly touched by it's messages. It is definitely worth the watch.

WHY SO SERIOUS?

MOVIE: The Dark Knight (2008)
IMDB RATING: 9.5 /10 (#1 )
DIRECTOR: Christopher Nolan
WRITER: Johnathan Nolan & Christopher Nolan
STARING: Christian Bale
Micheal Caine
Heath Ledger
Aaron Eckhart
Morgan Freeman
Maggie Gyllenhaal

Chaos is unleashed in Gotham by a psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy. Batman and Harvey Dent are driven to their limits when forced to deal with this anarchy. I was blown away by Nolan's sublime directing, the pacing of this movie was so well paced, managing to keep the audience enthralled for 3 hours. Every actor shines, but Ledger's performance was surprisingly excellent by any standards. The Broke Back Mountain actor transformed himself into the most terrifying Joker ever seen. The movie was not just another super hero flick, its deeply philosophical themes which follows from “Batman Begins” puts a new twist on action movies. If u haven't seen it yet........ well you are missing a part of 'good movie' history.
